Job Description :

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our fast-paced outpatient clinic and support high-quality patient care.

• Pay rate: $40/hr
• Job Location: Juneau, AK 99801
• Shift: Days (8:00AM - 5:00 PM)
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable
• Guaranteed Hours:40

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required
• High school diploma or GED (or Nursing degree from an accredited institution in lieu of CMA)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting
• Must live 50+ miles from the facility
• No requested time off (RTO) allowed

Skills & Knowledge:

• Ability to take age-appropriate vital signs and perform basic clinical procedures
• Knowledge of clinic workflows, patient documentation, and EMR systems (Meditech preferred)
• Skilled in specimen collection, POCT, lab draws, immunizations, and injections
• Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
• Ability to operate medical equipment (BP cuff, pulse oximeter, EKG, cardiac monitor, defibrillator)
• Ability to train and mentor other clinical assistants
• Competence in recognizing and responding to patient emergencies
