Urgent requirement for one of our client which is Correctional Facility,

• Job Name: Correctional/Nurse Practitioner
• Job Location: Leavittsburg, OH, 44430
• Shift: Day
• Weekly Schedule: Minimum 40hrs/ week
• Duration of Contract: 3 Months
• Minimum years of experience: 2 years

Pay rate: $70/hr

Submissions must include:

• Resume
• Healthcare-professional level CPR certification
• Ohio Medical License
• Copy of Board Certification
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification.
• US Passport or Naturalization card if born outside US
• one year of working NP experience in primary care
• ANCC Csrtificate

Job Duties in Order of Importance:

• Monitors progress of and intervenes in the course of chronic illnesses, using ODRC policies and protocols for guidance
• Inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases & prescribes medications or administers treatment of acute and chronically ill patients & performs minor surgery as training & competency allows
• Performs routine physical exams of patients to determine control or status of chronic conditions & diagnoses new conditions
• Evaluates patients for the necessity of specialty referral consultations inside or outside the institution & reviews said consult reports for the recommendations, approving or disapproving accordingly
• Orders & reviews the results of laboratory, x-ray, & other diagnostic testing appropriate With the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), facilitates the completion of medical reclassification & requests for non-formulary medications as necessary
