**Quick Start**

We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Medical Center.

• Pay rate: $48/hr
• Job Location: State College, PA 16801
• Shift: Evening shift with weekend rotation; 5 - 8 hr shifts
• No of weeks: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• ASCP, AMT, NCCLS, or equivalent certification as an MT/MLS/MLT.
• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred/required for this position.
• Blood Bank and Microbiology experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a clinical laboratory environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing using manual and automated methods.
• Process, identify, label, and prepare patient specimens for testing.
• Review laboratory results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before reporting.
• Perform quality control and proficiency testing according to laboratory standards.
• Troubleshoot instrument and testing issues and report problems promptly.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and supplies.
