Urgent need for a Patient Access Representative for one of our client which is a Hospital

Job Location: 2270 Jolly Oak Rd STE 1 Okemos, MI 48864

Shift: Days (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable

Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs/week

Minimum years of experience: 2 year

Pay rate: $18/hr

Job Description:

• Greeting patients and their caregivers on arrival.
• Collecting information such as patient details, medical history, billing, and insurance information, etc.
• Preparing patient admission and discharge documentation.
• Entering information into databases and maintaining accurate records.
• Relaying information to relevant staff members.

Position Requirements:

• 2+ Years of experience - Required
• Health Care Knowledge - Required
• Customer Service Proficiency -Required
• Patient Access, Customer Service or Medical work experience, Cerner experience preferred:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-year experience in a customer service role or health care industry. required
• Working knowledge of Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook, Cerner, EPIC or other EMR system, Electronic Eligibility System and various websites for third party payers for verification is preferred
• Medical terminology preferred
• BLS - Required
• COVID Vaccine Required
