Urgent need for a Phlebotomist for one of our client which is a Hospital

Job Location: 680 Centre St. Brockton MA 02302.

Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM

Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable

Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs

Minimum years of experience: 1 year

Pay rate: $30/hr

Job Description:

• Identifying patients and their personal information by reviewing their identity documents.
• Assessing patient needs, reviewing patient history, and determining the reason(s) for drawing blood.
• Selecting gauge needles and preparing veins or fingers for blood drawing.
• Extracting blood from patients through venipuncture or fingersticks.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years of phlebotomist/specimen processor experience - REQUIRED
• Hospital experience - REQUIRED
• Evening Phleb must have new born collection skills with capillary collection from heel - REQUIRED
• Knowledge of centrifugation, aloquating & distribution of samples to the correct departments for sample analysis - REQUIRED
• Meditech experience - Preferred
