• Job Name: Physician
• Job Location: London, OH 43140
• Shift: Day (8:00 AM- 5:00 PM)
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs
• Duration of Contract: 6 Months
• Minimum Education Level : Doctoral Degree

Pay rate: $125/hr

• Healthcare-professional level CPR certification
• Ohio license
• Drug Enforcement Administration certification.

Job description

• Searching for a physician who is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and who is experienced in primary care to split full-time on-site services between the male population at this facility and the facility across the street (Madison Correctional Institution). Schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on needs of facility. Selected physician will see approximately 2.5 patients/hour. Assignment may last at least 6 months and eventually lead to permanent hire if there is mutual good fit. Both a phone interview and on-site meeting/tour at one facility will be required.

Physician Duties

• Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment
• for patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting
• utilizing an electronic health record system
• Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
• Managing medication
• Completing reclassifications and other reviews as indicated
• Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
• Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures,
• protocols, and related American Correctional Association standards
• Participating in Continuous Quality Improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
