Job Description :

Urgent need for a Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg / PCU / Peds with our client, which is a hospital.

• Pay rate: $58/hr
• Job Location: Portales, NM 88130
• Shift: Nights 6p-6a
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• BLS
• PALS
• Occasional charge nurse responsibilities required
• Pediatric admissions possible
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 5:1

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for adult and occasional pediatric Med Surg and PCU patients
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders
• Perform patient assessments and document care accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, tele-intensivists, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and escalate care when needed
