Urgent need for a RN Wound Care for one of our client which is a Hospital,

• Job Location: Brooklyn, NY, 11212
• Shift: 8 am- 4:30 pm
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable
• Guaranteed hours: 40hrs

Pay rate: $87/hr

Job Description:

• Under the direction and supervision of the Wound and Ostomy Manager, the wound, ostomy, and continence nurse will provide safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, revise, and evaluate standards of care, assist in the selection of supplies, technology and equipment.
• Assess and document patient response to wound care, ostomy, continence, fistula and complex wounds treatment. Evaluate the quality and delivery of care provided by the clinical staff on unit.
• Works collaboratively with the health care team and makes referrals to other disciplines as indicated.

Position Requirements:

• Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience.
• Wound and Colostomy experience.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• New York State RN License.
• Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
• AHA BLS.
• Current certification in one of the following:
• Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) issued by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).
• Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) issued by the WOCNCB.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) issued by the WOCNCB.
• Certified Wound Specialist (CWS) issued by the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM).
• Wound Care Certified Certification (WCC) issued by the National Alliance of Wound Care a
