  • Job Name: Radiology Technician
  • Job Location: Bakersfield, CA 93306
  • Shift: Days & Nights (8-hour shifts)
  • Shift Notes: Days & Nights. Graves mostly (11pm-7:30am). Rotating shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • No of weeks: 3 Months
  • Guaranteed hours:40 hours a week

Pay rate: $70/hr

Requirements:

  • BLS required
  • Covid Vaccination Required
  • Must have CA State License
  • Minimum years of Experience: 2Years

Job Description:

  • Documents all information on patient's images, consents, and other medical records.
  • Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed independent practitioner. Verifies informed consent.
  • Applies the principles of patient safety during all aspects of radiology procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
  • Assists licensed independent practitioner with fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures.

Skills:

  • Two (2) years of experience required.
  • Must possess and maintain a current certification as a Radiologic Technologist and Certified Fluoroscopy permit from the State of California Department of Health Services.
  • Must possess and maintain current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Must possess and maintain a current American Heart Association Responder or Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card at time of hire. As a continued condition of employment, employee must maintain RQI Responder certification and competency.
  • Must have knowledge of modern radiology equipment and techniques; human anatomy and physiology; occupational and safety precautions for radiologic work; and acute care hospital procedures; effective verbal and written communication skills and computer skills.
  • Must have ability to administer emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation; maintain records and files; follow instructions; deal tactfully and professionally with patients, physicians, and staff; Maintain the strictest levels of confidentiality.
  • Must maintain all health requirements designated by Kern Medical Center.
