Job Description :

Urgent need for a RN (General, Dialysis, Mental health) with our client, a Correctional Facility

• Job Location: London, OH 43140
• Shift: Evening (1:30 PM-09:30 PM)
• Duration of Contract: 1 Years
• Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs
• Minimum years of experience: 2 years
• Weekend : it will be expected to work every third weekend.

Pay rate: $52/hr

Submissions must include:

• Resume
• Healthcare-professional level CPR certification
• Ohio license

Job Duties in Order of Importance:

• administers medication including narcotics; renders all direct nursing care as needed) & performs specialized procedures (i.e., iv therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, incubation & CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning & phle botomy duties).
• Organizes & oversees 'code blue' team; directs health care staff (e.g., hospital aides & licensed practical nurses) assigned to area; acts as lead worker in charge of one assigned shift in absence of nurse 2 employee' assists physician in giving diagnostic health evaluations to students.
• Performs clerical tasks (e.g., charts & records all medications, treatments & pertinent medical information; completes required reports such as incident & accident reports; documents Medicaid information; orders supplies & equipment; maintains constant & exact inventory of all controlled drugs, medication & equipment); arranges for out-patient clinic appointments; arranges for medical examinations to be done by school physician; arranges for new & refilled prescriptions ordered by physicians through local pharmacy; performs administrative tasks & serves as liaison with others in organization & conducts &/or attends meetings; serves as instructor on occasion; serves as member or leader of problem solving teams or groups.
• Performs administrative duties as indicated; attends meetings; schedules multidisciplinary team meetings; assumes the duties of shift charge as assigned by the HCA, making shift work assignments & adjustments as necessary; performs or assist with inventory & ordering of medical supplies; assist ancillary staff as needed to ensure patient care needs are met; must conduct themselves professionally, & in a law-abiding manner, at all times & in accordance with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation & Correction Standards of Employee Conduct; performs other related duties as assigned.
