Urgent need for a RN (General, Dialysis, Mental health) with our client, a Correctional Facility
- Job Location: London, OH 43140
- Shift: 2nd Shift (1:30p - 9:30pm ) & 3rd Shift 9:00pm-7:00am
- Duration of Contract: 1 Years
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hrs
Pay rate: $52/hr
Submissions must include:
- Resume
- CPR Certification
- COVID vaccine card or exemption letter
- Ohio Medical License
Job Duties in Order of Importance:
- Provides patient care as directed: administers medication (e.g., oral intramuscular & intravenous) & monitors patient medication compliance; performs treatments; performs or assist with nurse’s sick call; assist with doctor’s sick call;
- performs or assist with nursing management of chronic care clinics; responds to emergencies providing emergency care & cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
- performs subjective & objective assessment of patients; collects vital signs & timely documents all findings; collects urine &/or other bodily fluid specimens;
- prepares patients for release or transfer to other facilities (e.g., intrasystem or out to court) by reviewing patient care, transfer summaries or release summaries; ensures discharge medication orders are completed & timely forwarded to pharmacy services; participates in work-related training & institution training exercises.
- Provides assistance to other healthcare staff; investigates & documents problem areas or areas of concern; reviews shift report from preceding shift(s); assist physicians with medical procedures; assumes duties of other nurses during absences; counsels/provides education to patients regarding healthcare maintenance & prevention of disease; participates in quality assurance activities;
