**Quick Start**

Urgent need for a Sleep Technologist for one of our client which is a Medical Center.

• Job Location: 2233 State Route 86, PO Box 471, Saranac Lake, NY 12983
• Shift: Nights(8:00 PM - 8:30 AM)
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable
• Shift Notes: 36hrs/week

Pay rate: $60/hr

Job Description:

• Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information in order to identify and meet the patient-specific needs (age, physical/mental limitations, current emotional/physiological status regarding the testing procedure, pertinent medical/social history).
• Electrically interface data outputs of capnographs, oximeters, and respiratory inductive plethysmographs to inputs of electrophysiologic amplifiers and computer-based recorders.
• Determine final testing parameters/procedures in conjunction with the ordering physician or clinical director and laboratory protocols.
• Perform operational checks prior to initiating the study and ensure the accuracy and safety of instruments in use during patient recording.
• Set up and maintain the following pieces of equipment: nasal/oral thermocouples, impedance converters, EOG, EEG, EKG, EMG, surface electrodes, oximetry probes, capnography sampling lines, and inductive plethysmogram converters to accepted published standards.
• Perform routine positive airway pressure (PAP) interface fitting and desensitization.

Position Requirements:

• 2+ years’ recent Sleep Tech experience
• Must have NY license upon submittal
• MUST be a Registered Sleep Tech
• MUST have NBRC SDS Credential/Passing Exam Score
• Must be able to hit the ground running and work independently
• Medi Tech experience - Highly Preferred
• BLS (AHA)
• NBRC
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist
