**Quick Start**

Urgent need for a Sterile Processing Technician for one of our client which is a Medical Center.

• Job Location: Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783
• Shift: Days (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable
• Shift Notes: Day shift, M-F, 07:30-4:00, with some after-hours and weekend on-call responsibilities (40 hour guarantee)
• Weekend Requirements: For on call only

Pay rate: $32/hr

Job Description:

• Prepare, sterilize, install, or clean laboratory or health care equipment.
• Assemble all of the equipment required for surgery, exams, and other medical procedures.
• May perform routine laboratory tasks and operate or inspect equipment.
• Organize and assemble routine and specialty surgical instrument trays and other sterilized supplies, filling special requests as needed.
• Clean instruments and other medical devices to prepare them for sterilization.
• Operate and maintain steam, ETO, low-temperature gas plasma, peracetic acid, ozone, and dry heat sterilizers, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed.
• Record sterilizer test results.

Position Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience - Required
• IAHCSMM - Preferred (will accept CBSPD)
• BLS(AHA) Required
