Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced Local Surgical Technologist to join a hospital OR team in Bakersfield, CA. This position offers excellent hourly pay, guaranteed hours, and day shifts.

• Pay: $64/hour
• Location: Bakersfield, CA 93306
• Shift: Day Shift – 11a-7p shift
• Schedule: 40 hrs/week (Guaranteed)
• Contract: 13 Weeks (Extension Possible)
• On-Call: Required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care Operating Room experience.
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program (CAAHEP or ABHES).
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification through NBSTSA.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and sterile field maintenance.
• Robotics experience required.
• Vascular surgery experience required.
• Demonstrated competency across multiple surgical specialties.
• Surgical trauma experience.
• Experience in high-volume operating room environments.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields.
• Assist with patient positioning and procedural preparation.
• Perform surgical counts according to policy.
• Prepare, organize, and pass instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
