Job Description :

Urgent need for Pet/CT Scheduling Assistant position for one of our client which is a Medical Center,

• Pay rate: $35/hr
• Job Location: Salinas, CA, 93901
• Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
• Duration of Contract: 13 weeks + Extendable

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Current BLS Certification (AHA)
• 2–4 years of recent experience in radiology scheduling (required)
• Experience scheduling across multiple imaging modalities (PET/CT, CT, MRI, US, Angio, X-ray)
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Experience with Epic (within last 6–12 months preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Schedule imaging exams including PET/CT, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Angio, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, and Mammography
• Coordinate with physician offices to obtain authorizations, CPT codes, and ICD codes
• Pre-register and interview patients, collecting accurate demographic and insurance information
• Prepare patient charts, consent forms, and identification bands
• Provide patient preparation instructions for imaging procedures
• Work with Radiologists, Nurses, and Surgery Scheduling teams to coordinate procedures
• Use PACS system to manage imaging studies and burn CDs
• Enter and maintain data in systems such as Epic, Meditech, and ITS
